The Kerewhenua Apartments building in Kerepeti at Hobsonville Point received a bronze award at the Registered Master Builders Association’s 2019 New Zealand Commercial Project Awards on Friday night.
The annual industry awards - presented at a gala ceremony at Sky City in Auckland on May 17 – judges projects on their design, contract management, construction and project delivery and outcomes. Bronze awards are given to projects achieving 75 per cent of the available points.
Kerewhenua Apartments - along with the nearby Uku Apartments – was developed by the Kerepeti joint-venture between Ngāi Tahu Property, the New Zealand Super Fund and New Ground Capital. The building was designed by Context Architects, with construction carried out by Naylor Love.
This award offers some deserved recognition of the hard work by Naylor Love and the wider project team to deliver stylish, high-quality new apartment homes in the heart of the growing Hobsonville Point community.
The completed five-storey residential complex has 33 apartments featuring a range of layouts, high-quality finishes and European-inspired design. Available homes range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom units with spacious open-plan living areas.
These are currently selling, with 15 still available at Kerewhenua and 20 in the Uku building. It is expected first residents will begin moving into both apartment complexes in the next month.
