What Does Te Whaiawa Mean?
The name TE WHAIAWA was gifted to the development by mana whenua Ngāi Tūāhuriri. Meaning 'The Riverbed', the name acknowledges the ancient riverbeds of the Waimakariri and Waikirikiri (Selwyn) Rivers that once flowed across the Canterbury Plains.
Please note: only one section or House & Land package per whānau member or kaimahi can be purchased in advance of the public release. A section may be placed on hold for a maximum of 20 working days and after this time the section must either go to contract or be placed back on the market.
